Our Legacy of the Sea
Ship’s Lobster Pound (2005) Limited has been in the business of buying and selling lobsters since 1988. Started by three brothers – Kirk, Gregory and Joel Nickerson, the company is still family owned and operated. For decades, our family-owned business has been built on a legacy of quality, sustainability, and a deep-rooted connection to the sea.
Our lobsters are sourced from many ports in the region. They are purchased straight from the fishing boats as they come in with their catch.
We ship our products to Europe, Asia, and the United States and our list of customers is constantly growing! Our lobsters are sourced from many ports in the region. Our partnerships span across the vibrant fishing districts 33 and 34, engaging specialty fishing vessels equipped with state-of-the-art technology to harvest the finest hard shelled Canadian lobsters.
Further enhancing our commitment to quality control, we operate our own customs bonded reefer transport trucking company. This integration not only underscores our dedication to delivering excellence but also ensures that every lobster arrives in perfect condition, ready to be savoured.
